Inspirations in Color "Orignal art at a reasonable cost " Nancy Freeman |

Some 20 years ago, I saw an exhibit in New York City of Claude Monet's haystacks. A quote was scrolled at the entrance something to the effect that "art is beauty, that's what it is and that is all it is." Art can mean many things to many people. I also remember there was an exhibit of old wash basins in a New York City art gallery when I was there and who can forget Picasso's Quernica.. However, I agree with Monet. For me, art is beauty. And to create beauty, color is essential. I love the ways colors combine, and enhance each other, and sing together. Monet commented on color too: "Color is my day-long obsession, joy and torment."
