Thunder Bay Camp and Environs

Camp (Canadian for cabin) with rocks we have collected from local amethyst mine on steps and tubs I have
planted with veggies

View of camp from Lake Superior

View of Lake (and my computer screen) from our glassed-in porch

Trees out front

Trees to the side

Trees to the back (where I saw the black bear)

Tent Blind for wild life wathcing

The deer family comes down to the lake in the morning for a drink

Blue Heron fishing (although I often see his tracks in the sand by the blind, I've never caught him there).

Canadian Geese floating by

One day--only once--there was a goose and gull party down on the beach

The local Marganger had thirteen babies

Here they are two weeks later--all thirteen still alive

The local mallard did not fare so well, only two remaining of some 8 or 9

Some type of shore bird feeds in the sand

Our beach and view to the Southwest

View to the Southeast

View to the East showing Caribou Island and Sibley Peninsula that is so long that we cannot perceive the
extent of the size of Lake Suprior, plus offers a lot of protection from white caps and storms. Many a ship has gone down in Lake Superior.

A near by pond where I kayaked--my kind of interesting place

It has a beaver dam too

Good night's on the horizon, so I bid you adieu
